One lesson: Learn to work under pressure. It’s a skill set.
I work under pressure really well. It’s a habit build since I started playing cricket.
As the score board ticked, I used to calculate score, balls left, and runs needed all in my mind. Even how to play the situation.
Probably, it’s a habit ingrained in me that I don’t fear urgency much but love it.
Most founders I have met love it too. It’s like fuel to the fire they have inside them.
One of them said, if I don’t have sense of urgency, I might lose out on lot of things.
How you view the world in mind or your product or your company will bring about urgency.
Here’s my situation:
→ I have 3-4 founders ready for LinkedIn, but I need to hire more help fast or I'm in trouble.
→ I’m working with a D2C founder launching a clothing brand—7 reels need to be shot in 10 days.
→ I’m also working with two fitness founders—10 reels to be shot in 5 days for their gym brand.
What’s yours?

One marketing insight: Lean into your brand's flaws
Flaws create authenticity, which fosters trust, loyalty, and lasting success.
Here’s how to turn your brand's flaws into strengths:
1. Radical Honesty Wins Hearts
When Apple removed the headphone jack, it seemed like a flaw.
But they embraced it as innovation.
Transparency about limitations builds trust, not weakness.
2. Flaws Attract the Right Crowd
IKEA’s DIY furniture isn’t for everyone, but they’ve embraced it, attracting budget-conscious DIY fans who see assembly as fun.
When your flaws are clear, the right customers connect more deeply with your brand.
3. Relatable, Real, and Unforgettable
Fenty Beauty disrupted the industry by embracing all skin tones, highlighting the lack of inclusivity.
Showing your brand's imperfections builds human connections, fostering relationships that drive loyalty.
So, the next time you feel pressure to hide your brand’s flaws, remember:
Showing them might just be your superpower.
Catch you in the next one,
— Salil
